History

Nordship 360 deck saloon

The beginning of a yard

The Danish yard Nordship Yachts ApS was founded in 1978 under the name Buchwald Yachtværft. The founder of the company Lars Buchwald started by making accomodation and as sup-contractor for several well-known Danish ship yards. During the years we have gathered a great knowledge from building/developing racing yachts, producing one-off projects and the making of several boats for sailing around the globe.

Birth of Nordship

In 1988 Lars Buchwald acquired the rights for the Nordship boat program, which was the start to a extensive development program, where all the experience from previous constructions was used in the process of developing the new Nordship models. The Nordship Program is today dominating the production of the yard in such a degree that the name was changed to Nordship Yachts ApS.

40 years of knowledge

In 2008 the yard could celebrate its 30 years jubilee and moved to the current address in Lunderskov. This was celebrated with a reception for our business connections and a gala party for Nordship owners from the most of Europe. Nordship Yachts which celebrate 40 years in the Boat Industri in 2018 is today considered as one of the leading manufactures of Deck Saloon Yachts.

A Nordic Cruiser gives you more opportunities to enjoy your time on the waterways, rivers, and coasts. Whether you are looking for an eye-catching classic motor launch, a pretty dayboat to be trailed from one area to the next, or a coastal cruising motorboat for weekends away, the Nordic Cruiser can be all this and more.

She combines the head-turning beauty and craftsmanship of a traditional launch with the convenience and ease of ownership of a modern, efficient fibreglass hull. Built by Danish master craftsmen, she embodies the skill and details you’ll find on our top-quality Nordship and Faurby sailing yachts, but in a smaller package without any sails – perfect for those who want the enjoyment of being on water with the least fuss, but who don’t want to compromise quality.
